About Lauder School B&B
Historic, homely and wholesome, the Lauder School B&B is a must-stay for your Otago Central Rail Trail adventure!
This unique century-old school building has been lovingly transformed into awesome accommodation to suit everyone's needs. With capacity to cater up to 22 guests, Lauder School B&B is well situated to provide quality accommodation for groups, couples and solo travellers alike.
The original school building has been transformed into three lovely ensuite rooms and a communal space to socialise with other travellers. There are also have self-contained studio units which are standalone rustic-style cottages in the school gardens. The standard rooms are situated in other former school buildings, revamped and tastefully decorated while still retaining the old school feel.
The rooms are aptly named: The Staff Room, The Art Room, The Library Room, Music Cottage, Drama Cottage, Detention Shed, Sports Shed, Play Hut & Cabin.
Your hosts, Bruce & Esmé will make you feel at home from the get-go. They are welcoming, kind and passionate about the Lauder area and it's history.
